Yat Tung AKA Raymond YU, 67, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully on 1 Dec. 2024 after a courageous battle with illness.
Raymond was born on 26 Nov 1957 in Hong Kong. Known for his persistence, vision, eloquence, and ambition, he touched the hearts of all who knew him.
A graduate of the University of Ottawa, Raymond excelled in a distinguished career in marketing, where his sharp insights and innovative strategies earned him widespread respect. As an eloquent speaker and skilled communicator, he made a lasting impact on business development and marketing strategies, building strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and employees.
Raymond was a passionate traveler who explored countries like the United States, England, France, Spain, Italy, and Japan, which enriched his life and conversations with a deep appreciation for global heritage. He also had an enduring curiosity about current events, staying informed through his favorite pastime—watching the news.
In his later years, Raymond faced the challenges of an irreversible illness that confined him to a wheelchair. Despite these difficulties, he embraced life with courage, grace, and positivity, remaining engaged with his family and inspiring others with his resilience and determination.
Raymond is survived by his devoted wife, Elsa; his two loving daughters, Isabel and Jasmine; his mother, Lan; and his three brothers, Jimmy, Kenneth, and Daniel. A proud and dedicated husband and father, Raymond cherished his family above all else.
His legacy of love, strength, perseverance, and integrity will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
