William Robert Lugsdin

August 11, 1975 — August 12, 2023

Lugsdin, William Robert – Passed away suddenly at the age of 47. Will leaves behind his three children, Sara, Liam and Ben, with Quintal Lugsdin; his sister Patti (Steve); sister-in-law Amanda; and his four nieces & nephews – Sam & Lex, Rowan & Leaf. Will is pre-deceased by his mother, Maureen Lavern McQuay; his father, James Walter Lugsdin; and his younger brother, Samuel Gordon Lugsdin.

Anyone who knew Will would concede that he was a force to be reckoned with.  You may have known him as an overly active, know-it-all child; a scrappy, athletic, mouthy teenager; or the calm adult and parent he became. Regardless of how you met him, he was sure to leave an impression.  Will was a legend on the dance floor, a kind and patient Shifu, a friend to the end, and a loving parent.  Will was known for putting his all into everything he did, even the times he went off in the wrong direction.  Will loved to travel and wished he could have done more of it.  He told some fantastic stories about his time spent in India and Thailand and his motorcycle trip to B.C. He loved to laugh, discuss and debate and enjoyed a good meal and a fantastic bottle of wine. Put all those things together, and you had Will’s idea of the best time.  Things didn’t always go how Will had planned, but he learned the lessons life offered and started fresh after every setback. Will wanted nothing more than to be a positive role model in his children’s lives.  He’ll be keeping a close eye on them from somewhere over the rainbow and hoping all their dreams come true.
