WIlliam "Bill" Dykstra

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Dykstra.

In his 86th year, after a brief stay at Hospice Simcoe, and a year long battle with cancer, Bill passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 27th, 2022. Bill was born on May 15th, 1937 in Friesland, and immigrated to Canada with family in 1951. Bill and brothers were established electricians in and around the Barrie area for over 40 years. Bill is survived by son Gerard, brothers Ralph and Andrew Dykstra, sister Cory Van Dyke and was a loving Opa to Jordan and Lindsay Widdicks, Sarah, Alex, Sean and Laura Dykstra. Bill is predeceased by wife Ada, daughter Teresa and brother Don Dykstra. Details for celebration of life to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated.
