It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William John Peter Tames( Bill) on May 23,2026 at Eatonville Care Centre after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

Bill was the cherished husband of Joy for 46 years and the beloved father of Fred, Julie, Melissa, Vikki and Jenn ( deceased 2024). He also leaves behind his younger brother Byron who frequently challenged Bill's poker skills.

Sloane, Jack and Ann, his three grandchildren were wrapped around his heart from birth.

Bill was creative but love was the most prominent feature of his 85 years of life: family, nature, friends and God. He found his calling as a salesman, first at Belmont Chev Olds( his father's dealership) and later in Real Estate where he matched clients with their dream homes. No effort was too much and clients became long-term friends.

Much appreciation goes to Eatonville 4th floor staff for their compassionate care over the past three years.

We will celebrate Bill's life on Thurs. July 30,2026 at St John's Dixie in Mississauga,in the Magnolia room 12:30-2:30pm with service at 1:30 and Inurnment following at 3pm. Please dress casually.
