Wayne (Sonny) Norman Hatton

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Wayne (Sonny) Norman Hatton, who passed away peacefully in hospice in Ottawa on Monday December 1st, 2025, at the age of 66, following a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.

Devoted husband of 36 years to Carolyn (née Zwiers) and loving father to Eric and Kelly. Cherished brother of Scott, and fondly remembered as a dear Brother-in-law, Godfather, Son-in-law, Nephew, Uncle, and friend to many.

Predeceased by his parents Roy and Marion (née Brown), and father-in-law Herman Zwiers. Survived by his mother-in-law Anne Zwiers.

A lifelong lover of music, Wayne’s powerful voice and passion for performing with his various rock bands will be fondly remembered.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
