Walter Patrick Halden passed away peacefully at home on May 25, 2026, at the age of 66, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 9, 1959, Walter was the beloved son of the late Walter Halden Senior and Ida O’Jaick. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Sandi, with whom he shared 26 loving years of marriage. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Walter was a proud father to his son, Matthew, and a cherished grandfather to Daxson and Lennox.

Survived by his siblings Keith (RoseMarie) and Sharon Halden. Predeceased by Bruce, Ryan, Neil, Gary, Patrick, Maryann, Desmond and Earl.

Walter also shared a lifelong friendship with his dear friend Chico, whose companionship meant so much throughout the years. Known for his strength, loyalty and love for the outdoors, Walter certainly enjoyed countless memorable hours fishing together with his wife, Sandi. Walters family takes comfort in knowing that his last wish to pass at home was fulfilled. This was only made possible by his wife Sandi who catered to his every wish and need.

A special thanks to Walter and Sandi's support system, Cathy, Sharon, Matthew and Chico. A special mention to Palliative care team including his case manager Annie, CareFore nurses, Dr. Spaceck and Dr. Douglas. Thank you for your guidance through these past few weeks. Walter will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to join us on June 12th at Notre Dame Cemetery 455 Montreal Road. Meet at the front gate at 11:15 a.m to be escorted to Walters final resting place. Reception at 360 Patricia Avenue for a light lunch. Indoor parking is available in the underground garage.
