Victor Hugo Miguel Vieyra Cifuentes

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Hugo Miguel Vieyra Cifuentes on Friday, May 17, 2024. Born on January 24, 1959, Victor lived a vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love, humor, and music.

Victor was the cherished husband of Maria Eduarda Vieyra and a devoted father to his three loving daughters, Macarena Vieyra Montero, Constanza Margarita Vieyra Montero, and Valentina Paz Vieyra Montero, who loved him deeply and wholly. Victor is the beloved son of Victor Hugo Nicolas Vieyra Vital (Edith) and the late Maria De Los Dolores Cifuentes Owen. Victor will be greatly missed by all who survive him, including his brothers, Ricardo Vieyra, Felipe Vieyra, and Pablo Vieyra, as well as his cousins and extended family members, Ivan Vieyra (Luisa) and George Vieyra (Elizabeth), to name only a few. 

In his younger years, Victor was a model in Brazil, captivating many with his good looks, of which he was not too shy to remind you, but only after a pisco sour or two. He also served as a police officer in Chile, demonstrating courage and dedication to his home country. His journey then led him to Canada, where he was a remarkable Tata (grandfather) to Theo and Henry Camarata, and where he continued to enrich the lives of those around him through his laughter, magic, and barbecuing. Victor was also a handyman who had patience and passion for building furniture and would often be seen fixing things around the house.

Victor was not only a man of service, but a talented musician. He found joy in playing the piano and guitar, often sharing his passion for music with family and friends during gatherings. 

A man of sharp wit and what can only be described as "dad jokes", Victor's sense of humor was a cornerstone of his personality. He will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of encountering him.

Gracias papá, te vamos a amar y extrañar por siempre. Él hacía de cada momento una canción, gracias papá, te amaremos y extrañaremos por siempre.

May Victor Hugo Miguel Vieyra Cifuentes rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
