Vassiliki Moulis

August 26, 1933 — October 15, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vassiliki (Koula) Moulis (née Boulda), who died peacefully on October 15, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on August 26, 1933, in the mountainous village of Pisoderi, Florina, Greece, Koula lived a life that radiated love, generosity, and wisdom.

Her remarkable journey, shaped by her deep-rooted values and devotion to family, left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Her passing marks the end of a life filled with love, selflessness, and dedication to family and friends. In her adult life, she met and married Petros Moulis, a partnership built on love, respect, and shared values. Together, they created a beautiful family, raising two daughters, Maria (Don) and Helen (Bobby). Koula took great pride in being a mother, always putting her children first, and imparting to them the same values that guided her own life. Her legacy of love extended to her four cherished grandchildren, Melia, Elias, Sophia, and Selene, who adored her and found in her both a nurturing caregiver and a source of endless wisdom. Koula’s early years in the mountains of Greece shaped her warm and generous spirit. Raised in a large, loving family with big hearts she learned early on the importance of hard work, kindness, and an endless generosity.

These qualities would define her life and the way she treated others. Her love of children, which she later channeled into teaching, was a reflection of her belief in the power of nurturing and educating the next generation. She had an innate ability to make others feel seen and valued, whether through a thoughtful word, some good humor or an inviting cup of Greek coffee. Koula will be remembered for her open heart, her love of family, and the countless lives she touched.

Her legacy of kindness, philosophical advice and love will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. A woman of quiet strength, Koula faced life’s challenges with grace and resilience. Her strong connection to her Greek heritage was a constant source of pride, and she made sure her children and grandchildren remained connected to the traditions of their ancestral home.

Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will continue to live on through her family, her friends, and the countless people whose lives she touched. Koula’s warmth, her love of life, and her ability to make every person feel like family will forever be remembered. We are also incredibly grateful to her caregivers, whose personal attention and care brought warmth and comfort to her final days. You became part of our family in many ways, and your presence made all the difference.

As we say goodbye to this extraordinary woman, we celebrate a life well lived—one that was full of love, warmth, and boundless kindness. Her memory will be a blessing to all who knew her. Mom, we know the last part of your journey was not how you wanted your story to end. In our hearts we believe that you are singing a melody far more beautiful than any we’ve ever heard. Until we meet again, you will always be with us—in every note of joy, in every whisper of the wind, and in every melody that reminds us of the love you gave us.
