Valerie Fergusson

Valerie Fergusson, October 23, 1943 - June 25, 2024. Valerie passed away at home surrounded by family and friends after a long, hard fought illness. 

Valerie was predeceased by her parents, Muriel (Terrant) and Francis Firth and husbands Claude Billard and Donald Fergusson. Loving sister of Carol Holmes-Kerr, Terry Firth (deceased) and former sister-in-law Jenny Firth. Loving mother of Catherine Billard, Amy Lemery, Julie (Stuart) Simpson and Karen Jay. Loving grandmother to Daniel (Amanda) Billard, Michael Kolbinger, Harry Harley, Thomas Kolbinger, Andrew Kolbinger, Benjamin Harley, Jordyn Simpson, Matthew Simpson and Nathaniel Jay. Loving great grandmother to Abigail and Jacob Billard. She also leaves behind best friends Suzanne Boulay (deceased), Joanie Milne (Brantford, ON), Peggy Fickes, Helen Babcock (deceased) and Barbara (Bob) Billard and numerous cousins. 

Valerie worked as a Personal Support Worker at St. Joseph's Villa until 2006 and was an avid gardener which was evident to all who drove by her house. She enjoyed ceramics, tole painting, wood working, and creating pen and ink drawings for all of her loved ones. 

In keeping with Valerie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place on July 13th from 1-4pm. Please email karen_jay@msn.com for event details.
