Tyne Jinea Theodore is a curious, shy, funny, and smart young woman who passed away on March 23, 2024. She was 23 years old. Because she died unexpectedly, and so young, some of us––friends and family––are wondering if we could have changed her path; taken a step toward her that would have kept her here. Tyne was her own person, with her own dreams. So, we can, even while filled with incredible sorrow, trust that she is reaching them now, lifted by the love she knew we have for her, and always will. She is missed by her families: the one that was made for her (her mom Wendy; her siblings Aidan, Sienna, and Imani; her uncle David (and Jean); her aunts Jane (and Brian) and Linda (and Michael); her many cousins; and her grandparents, Gene and Ida) and the one filled with those she chose, and who so lovingly chose her, along the way in Ottawa, across Canada, in Scotland and England, and in the United States.
Tyne is predeceased by her dad, Paul, and her faithful dog, Lolla; her paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother; and too many friends for someone her age.
Tyne loved ballet, parties, her bike, crafting, photography, doing her makeup and nails, walking by the river, and pretending to read. She also adored taking care of little kids. Tyne would love to know that we are giving our time, in her name, to make the world a bit better for the most vulnerable among us.
