Timothy Wai Fung

The family of Timothy Wai Fung, age 85, of Ottawa, with sorrow and joy, announces his promotion to glory on September 6, 2024, peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Pui King; his dear children Amy (Kent Lum) and Andrew (Sharon Fung), and beloved niece Michelle (Andrew McBride); and his cherished grandchildren Matthew, Madison, Béibhínn, Fearghus, Tadhg, and Emma. He is also survived by his siblings in Edmonton and Vancouver, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and friends in Canada, United States, Hong Kong, Australia, Ireland, and beyond.

A beloved high school teacher and mentor, Tim also led many people in the faith through his ministry at the Metropolitan Bible Church in Ottawa. His impact on his community, both professional and personal, will be remembered by all who knew him.

The family thanks the personal support workers, The Ottawa Hospital, and the Metropolitan Bible Church for their compassionate care and support.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at the Metropolitan Bible Church with interment immediately following at Pinecrest Cemetery. 

Visitation: Wednesday, September 25, 3:30-5:00 pm at the Metropolitan Bible Church

Repast dinner:  Friends and family are invited to join the repast at 5:30 p.m., location to be announced.
