Thuc Kiet Luu

Laurie (Thuc Kiet) Luu peacefully passed away on September 12th, 2022 at age 55 with lots of family and friends by her side. She is a loving, bright and loved mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend and family member. She fought breast cancer with so much strength and optimism and never let it define her, even up until her final decisions and wishes. Laurie is survived by her 3 daughters (Viviane, Serena and Meleni) whom she cherished with all her heart; and her mother (My Anh Luu) and husband (Vi Kiet [Keith] Huynh).

Throughout her life, Laurie made a big impact on everyone that she met with her candor, joy and sweet smile. Laurie loved to hike and walk through forests and trails; some of the best times that we had as a family were discovering new trails, talking, laughing and "breathing in the fresh air" as she always said (she would scoff at regular sidewalk walks because the air wasn't as "fresh"). She is also the glue that keeps the family together and the planner for everything, good and bad. She would remember every little detail and asked a thousand questions because she was genuinely curious and interested. Everyone who knows Laurie knows that she loves good food and is always willing to try new food/restaurant. When you have a good meal, please think of her and send your wishes because she will be smiling down and there with you.

Family and friends are invited to say their goodbyes this Friday, September 16th, 2022 at St. John's Dixie Cemetery in Mississauga, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.
