It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa Walker (Hookimaw). With family by her side, Theresa passed away on Sunday May 28th, 2023 at the age of 77.
She will be sadly missed by her son Dereck (Diane), daughter Amanda (Lee), sisters Francis, Mary, and Annabell, brothers Gabriel, George and Morris; her grandchildren Chad, Timothy, Dereck Jr, Sabett, Ethan, Maya, Mackenzie and David; and great grandchild CJ.
Theresa was predeceased by her husband Ron.
Born in 1945 in Attawapiskat, Ontario, Theresa had a successful 45 year career with the Canadian Government and loved cheering for the Ottawa Senators.
The service will be held at St. Basil’s Church on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023. There will be a visitation at 12:15 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will take place at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
