Theresa “Terri” Kelly

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Theresa “Terri” Kelly, a cherished wife, devoted mother, treasured friend, and beloved member of the community. Terri left us peacefully on October 21, 2025, at the age of 77.

Terri’s life was a testament to her love for children and her unwavering dedication to those around her. From her early days driving a school bus to her years of administrative work at St. Monica’s, Guardian Angels, and St. Leonard’s School, Terri touched countless young lives. Her warmth and kindness were unforgettable—so much so that, even years later, adults would stop her in public just to say hello and thank her for the positive impact she had on their childhood.

Deeply loved and appreciated by her family and the wider community, Terri served with a generous heart. Since her passing, the outpouring of stories and messages has been a testament to the joy and care she brought into the world.

Predeceased by her parents, Phyllis and Edward Sirtonski, and her brother Bob Sirtonski. Terri is survived by her husband, Terrence (Terry) Kelly; her children, Julie (Rod O’Brien) and Jason (Tracey Sly); her brother Ron Sirtonski (Alaina); and her sister Joyce (Gerry Wall). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will carry forward her legacy of compassion, humor, and strength. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.

A Celebration of Terri’s life will be held on November 22 from 1–5 pm at The Osgoode Legion, 3284 Sunstrum Street, Osgoode. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Dementia Society of Ottawa & Renfrew County. The family would like to thank the staff at the Osgoode Care Centre, especially Holly, for taking such gentle and compassionate care of Terri during her short stay there.
