Images of Sue: on her mo-ped with her long moon-coloured hair streaming out behind her, her electric guitar strapped to her back, and her detective license in her pocket; Sue spontaneously & wildly harmonizing in random 15 minute work-breaks; Sue attempting to dance swan lake in Swan Lake in Maine; Sue using Beatle covers to communicate & share joy in Southeast Asia; Sue looking pensively at the Caribbean, Sue as a finalist on Name that Tune.
Sue was a born diplomat, terrific at unruffling feathers. Sue had the rare quality of being able to be very frank with people without offending them. As queen of the punsters, she was a natural comedian. Her humour was contagious and so knowledgeable. She was utterly reliable. She was such a kind, compassionate, generous and loyal friend.
As a professional musician, Sue contributed guitar, vocals and very bad puns to many bands including the Herb Girls, Les Biens, The Rock-hopping Penguins and a choir:In Harmony - a Woman’s Choir.
She will be missed by Amanda Mills, Patsi Chalmers, Cathy Cameron, Marg Moore, and many others.
The memorial service will be held on her birthday, November 27, 2024 at 11:00, both in person and on zoom. Feel free to contact suesmemorial71@gmail.com for more information.
