In Loving Memory of a Beloved Nana, Great Nana, Wife, Mother, and Friend

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Black, who peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023. Born on August 11th, 1926.  Susan graced the lives of those around her with enduring joy throughout her extraordinary journey.

A devoted wife to Bill (predeceased) and Jim (predeceased), a loving mother to Cliff (Joanne) and Beatrice (Doug), and the adored Nana to Greg Black, Rick Black, Kevin Black, Stephanie Healy, Mike Barnsdale and Mitchell Barnsdale. Susan was the epitome of warmth and love within her family. She held a special place in the hearts of her cherished brothers Ernie Harper, Robert Harper, Stanley Harper (predeceased) and Sister Margaret (predeceased).  Susan was also a source of inspiration and affection as an aunt to many of her nieces and nephews.

Nana was the heart and soul of her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren providing a source of boundless love and wisdom. Grace, Austin, Violet, Harper, Julian and Aidan were the recipients of her affection, and the memories she shared with them will be treasured for generations.

Her passion for life extended to the love of travel with her children and grandchildren. Her family was everything to her.

To honor Susan, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 6th, 2024, between 1:00-4:00 pm at the Ferndale Banquet Hall, 24 Ferndale Industrial Drive, Barrie, ON L4N 9W2.  May her memory continue to shine brightly in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and love profoundly shared.
