In Loving Memory of Sivalti Myers

June 24, 1940 – September 12, 2026

Sivalti passed away peacefully in Brampton, Ontario, on September 12, 2026, at the age of 86. Born in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, he was outgoing with friends and family, with a natural ability to bring laughter into any room. A hard worker, he demonstrated exceptional dedication throughout his life, serving over 30 years with the same company. He held a strong sense of independence yet never forgot his roots; he deeply loved Jamaica and his family there. Though he walked his own path through life, his later years brought a meaningful season for family to gather around him, reconnect and share close moments together.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Sheri Myers Hackney, and his son-in-law, Rashad; his cherished grandchildren, Matthew and Ava. Surrounding him in Brampton, were his sister, Doreen Glaze; his nephew Andrew Glaze, his beloved nieces, Paula and Hilka Glaze, also affectionately known as his "Hilka Mouse"; and his nephew-in-law, De'Angelo Downey. Regular visits from his sister, his nieces, nephew-in-law, his grand-nephews and grand-nieces brought him immense comfort during his final years. He also leaves behind siblings, nieces, nephews and other extended family members in Jamaica and across the globe.

A private viewing and service is being held for the family to gather and honor his memory.
