Ruth Norma Rask (Nielsen) Sawers

SAWERS, Ruth Norma - The family of Ruth Sawers is saddened to announce her passing at Royal Victoria Hospital on July 11, 2022, at the age of 94 years. Ruth was born in Denmark on May 10, 1928, to Carl & Maren Nielsen. She was predeceased by her husband Douglas. Ruth served as a Registered Nursing Assistant (RNA) during her working years. Ruth is survived by her children:  Pamela Farrell (Everett) of Kanata, Dwight Sawers (Winnie) of Guelph and Sandra Roush (Douglas) of Dalston; her step-grand children Tammy (Ron), Shannon (Jamie), and Robert; her grand-children: Dawn (Jeff), Leonie, Barbara (Rob), Richard (Jessica), Angela (Steven), Colin (Alison) and Daniel; and her great-grand-children Cameron, Samantha, Dexter, Madison, Brodie, Leo, Bellamy, Rocco, Theo, Willow and one-more-on-the-way.  Cremation has taken place; family and friends may call at Jennett Funeral Home on Friday, August 12, 2022, from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 2 pm, followed by a reception. To honour Ruth’s memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
