Ruth Mosher of Barrie, Ontario, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, at the Royal Victoria Hospital at the age of 84.

Ruth was predeceased by her parents and her nine brothers and sisters. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, and will be incredibly missed by her best friend Connie.

Ruth was a familiar and beloved presence in her community. She enjoyed walking to the Dunlop Diner each morning for breakfast, where the staff treated her like family. They showed her great kindness, helping her with appointments and her computer issues. Ruth loved them very much.

She had a deep love for country music and built an impressive collection of records and CDs over her years, with a special fondness for Carl Smith.

Ruth’s remains will be taken to Nova Scotia, where she will be laid to rest with her parents. There will be no service at this time.
