Roy Erik Klementti July 1, 1940 - February 13, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a great, caring friend to many. Roy left us unexpectedly at the age of 82. He leaves behind Evelyn, his wife of 63 years, his children: Kim (Joe), Mark (Kelly), Lisa (Kevin), and Jane, his grandchildren: Tyler, Erik, Ian, Emily, and Estelle, and his sister Paula. He was predeceased by his parents, Martta and Niilo, and his brothers, Reino and Ollie. His life was full.

Roy was an involved, loving husband and father and was always proud of his Finnish heritage. He started 3 successful ongoing businesses, travelled extensively to include 52 countries, all Canadian provinces, and all the US states. He loved wintering in Florida, which he had been doing for the last 23 years. He was an accomplished skier, good golfer, enjoyed fishing, loved card games, music, and movies. Roy was always involved in his community, starting with the Jaycees as a young man, then with the Washago Lions Club for many years. Most recently, he was a volunteer with CNIB and Barrie Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to CNIB or Barrie Hospice in Roy’s name would be lovely. A Celebration of Life will be held April 18, 2023 from 2-5 pm at The Barrie Golf and Country Club.
