Rosanne Coomber-Miller

March 2, 1963 — August 30, 2024

Ottawa

It is with great sadness that the Miller and Smith families announce that Rosanne Coomber passed peacefully on August 30th, 2024 at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice in Kanata Ontario

Rosanne is survived by her loving husband, Dave Miller, her three children, Jesslyn Derkson (Dalton), Joelle Smith, and Dylan Smith (Dawn), and her four grandchildren, Hatchet, Elodie, Dusk, and Evelyn. Rosanne is predeceased by her father, Bill Coomber, and leaves behind her mother Jocelyn Coomber, brothers Rick (George), Randy (Rena) and sister Robin (Chris), as well as her brother-in-law Al Miller and sister-in-law Angela Miller (Mary-Lynn). She was well loved by many nieces and nephews.

Rosanne was raised in Waterdown, Ontario and remained in the area for much of her life. She started her business, Garden Expressions, in her 30s and saw it prosper for many years in the community. She semi-retired in 2014 and moved to Constance Bay with Dave to enjoy their waterfront property. Rosanne loved the outdoors as well as outings with Dave on his Harley whenever they had the chance.

Rosanne’s biggest treasures were her four grandchildren, with whom she enjoyed many days playing games and music, swimming and boating on the bay, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. During Rosanne’s fight with cancer, she always expressed that one more day with her grandchildren was worth the battle that she was fighting. She never gave up hope.

The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and caregivers that were involved with Rosanne’s care over the past three years.

A celebration of life will be at Hamilton Air Force Association 128 King St East Dundas Ontario L9H 1N5 on Saturday October 19 2024 1:00-4:00PM for friends and family to join together to remember Rosanne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rosanne's memory to Melanoma Canada which funds research for Mucosal Melanoma- the rare form of Melanoma Rosanne fought. More research can save the lives of others living with the disease.
