Ronald Eric Nyman

Ronald Eric Nyman passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024. He is survived by his wife Mary, children John (Amanda), Laura (Caleb), and Sandra (Abbi), sisters Brenda (David) and Debbie (Mike), sister-in-law Jennifer, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Phyllis and brother Jim.

Ron was born in Cornwall, Ontario on March 14, 1956, the youngest child of one of the only Jewish families in the small town of Alexandria. He and his family lived in Cornwall during his adolescence, where he made many enduring memories. He moved to Toronto to attend university and remained there for the rest of his life.

Ron was a proud and loving husband and father, a wide-ranging sports fan, and an avid follower of politics, news, and the weather. Remembered for his good-humoured toasts at the dinner table, he was also a talented gardener who loved spending time in the open air.

You will be missed. Rest easy.

Ron's celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 21 from 3:30-6:30pm at the North York Memorial Community Hall, 5110 Yonge Street, North York, ON, M2N 5W4. Memorial donations may be made to the North York Harvest Food Bank, where he volunteered during his final months.
