Ronald Francis Lalonde, age 80, passed away peacefully at Hospice Cornwall, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, September 24, 2026. 

Beloved husband of the late Alice Lalonde. Loving father to Stephanie Mundy-Castle (Chris) and Stacey (Jason) Roche. Cherished grandfather of Dylan, Madison (Dawsun), Evangelina, Horatio, Sebastian, Byron and Jazmine. Son of the late Gordon and Mabel Lalonde. Dear brother to Cheryl (Richard) Andre and Susie Lalonde. Ronald was predeceased by his brothers and sisters Rolland Lalonde ,Barbara Marsolais (Carl), Phyllis Antoine (Jerry), David Lalonde (Betty), Vince Lalonde (Judy), and Gordon Lalonde. He will also be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Ronald enjoyed the simple things that brought him happiness. He was a huge hockey fan and loved spending time fishing and hunting. He also had a true passion for building and working with his hands. He enjoyed taking on building projects, creating things from the ground up, and could often be found working on something with his tools. There was a special sense of pride and accomplishment in his craftsmanship. It is a reflection of the hardworking and talented man he was. Whether he was watching a hockey game, heading out fishing or hunting, working on one of his building projects, or simply spending time with those he loved, these were the moments Ronald truly treasured. Above all, his greatest joy was his family. The love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the countless memories they created together will be carried in their hearts forever.

In Ronald's memory, donations may be made to Hospice Cornwall, whose care and compassion during his final days were deeply appreciated by his family.

He will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
