On Sunday July 6th, 2025 – at the young age of 80, Ron set off on his next great journey, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Though his physical presence has departed, his spirit continues to travel with all who knew and loved him.
Ron had a career with Bell Canada from 1964 to 2001. During this time, he had various positions from craftsman in Montreal to management when he moved to Ottawa in the late 1970’s. He enjoyed each of his many positions and was dedicated to whatever task he was given.
After his work with Bell, Ron took up a different type of work, renovations. Over the last 30 years or so Ron helped a lot of people with renovations by pricing their jobs far less than what he could have asked. This included kitchens, bathrooms, basements, decks and fences. That keep him busy and everyone happy.
Ron was a good friend to many, and to some, a lifelong loyal friend who could be counted on for just about anything. On many occasions, he would drop whatever he was doing to help someone else. He could be in the middle of building his own house but would come to whoever’s aid without question, whenever asked.
Ron had another interest that kept him quite busy at times; he enjoyed the hectic environment of managing his condo investments and ultimately became the president of the board for his condo corporation for over 40 plus years. With his extensive knowledge of building and renovations, he kept the board and budget in a favourable position always looking to the future.
In lieu of flowers or donations, please raise a glass and remember Ron as a kind and wonderful man. There will be no services or celebration of life gatherings as per Ron’s wishes.
Though he has now parted, we hold onto hope that we will meet again – somewhere beyond this life, where love endures and souls are reunited.
