Robert (Bob) Johnstone

The family of Robert (Bob) Johnstone sadly announce his peaceful passing at the age of 96 on April 26th 2020 at The Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre in Ottawa. Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Sheila Jones-Johnstone (nee O’Shea); his daughters Sandra Johnstone (John Bedell) of Powell River, B.C. and Suzanne Johnstone of Hamilton, Ontario; his step-daughters Maureen Manningham (Richard) of Ottawa; Kathleen McClure (Ron) of Simcoe, Ontario; Bernadette Jones (Alan Marsh) of Ajiic, Mexico; and Monica Jones of Ottawa; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Bob is predeceased by his parents, siblings, first wife Margaret and son Jack.

The family members would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Comerton and the wonderful, caring, compassionate caregivers (RNs, RPNs PSWs) at the Perley for taking such good care of Bob and being there for him.

A funeral service will be held at a later date.
