Roberta Hayley passed away peacefully on Thursday, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and community spirit.

Predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Harry, Roberta was a devoted partner and steadfast companion whose warmth, quick wit, and outspoken nature shaped the lives of those around her. She was a loving mother to her son Scott and warmly welcomed his spouse, Jennifer, into the family. Roberta took great joy in her role as grandmother to Alyssa, cherishing every moment spent together.

Roberta devoted 35 years of her life to teaching elementary school, where she inspired generations of young learners with patience, creativity, and a lively sense of humor. Known for speaking her mind and keeping her students engaged, her classroom was a place of encouragement, curiosity, and laughter, and her impact continues through the many students whose lives she touched.

Outside of her career, Roberta found joy in gardening, cultivating beauty and life in every season. She was also a founding member of the Nepean Sailing Club, where she built lasting friendships and shared her love for the water and community.

Roberta will be remembered for her strong will, her wit, her outspoken nature, her dedication to family and education, and her enduring love of nature. She leaves behind a family who will deeply miss her and carry her memory forward with love.
