Robert James "Jim" McGregor

Jim or Jimmy, as he was known to family and friends, passed away in his 70th year at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences in Whitby after a long battle with dementia.

He is survived by his children, son Timothy and daughter Amy. He is also survived by his siblings John Brian McGregor and Mary Ellen Kojro (nee McGregor). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kayla Pittman, Gillian and Legacy.

Jim was a proud uncle to Chris, Danielle, Clint and Derek. A long time employee of GM, Jim was a member of the Moose Lodge in Oshawa. A big sports fan, he'll be remembered for his passion for baseball, hockey and especially auto racing. Jim was a frequent volunteer at the Mosport race track outside of Bowmanville.

In lieu of a funeral, a private celebration of life will be held at a to be determined date.

Given Jim's love for animals the family requests donations in his name to be made to your local animal shelter.
