Rhona May Windsor

On August 18, 2025, heaven gained another angel. Rhona May Windsor (nee Berry) born August 7, 1936, was born in St. Catherines, the second child of Ivy and Reginald Berry.

Rhona is smiling as she is now with the love of her life Norman Windsor who passed away in 2014.

Grandmother of 4 and Great Grandmother to 5. In heaven Rhona will be with her siblings George, Brian, Donald and Linda. Survived by her sister Joan. Rhona was loved and adored by many nieces and nephews.

She touched countless hearts with her kindness, wisdom and humor. She brought excitement and energy to a room, never shy, often boisterous and full of energy.

Her home was the gathering place for family and friends; she was the cook of the community. If you showed up, you left with a full stomach from a home cooked meal made with love, whether you were hungry or not. When someone was in need Rhona was the first person recruited to help as she thrived on helping others.

Being an active member of the community was very important to her. She volunteered for many organizations: The Red Cross, Diabetes Canada, Toronto General Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital, The Salvation Army, Canadian Cancer Society, West Glen Home and School and was the Regional Convenor for Girl Guides of Canada.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation was her main love as she volunteered for over 35 years for the organization and at age 86 completed her last fundraising venture.

Rhona’s favourite pastime was to crochet. Spending hours making baby outfits, blankets for family members, raffles, hospitals and veterans. There are many people who have been wrapped in the warmth of a crocheted blanket made by Rhona with Love.

Celebration of life will be held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 161. 168 Muskoka Rd, Bracebridge ON. October 4, 2025, from 1-4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions in Rhona’s name be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
