In Loving Memory of Rene Joseph Paquette

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rene Joseph Paquette on August 4, 2026, in Navan, following a massive heart attack.

Rene leaves behind his beloved wife, Shirley Anne; his loving daughter, Christine; his son-in-law, Damon; his cherished granddaughters, Crystal and Kaitlyn; and his grandson-in-law, Danny. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Rene was known for his generous heart, warm smile, and friendly nature. He always had time to stop for a chat, offer a kind word, or brighten someone’s day. His kindness and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone he met. As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, his family was his greatest source of pride and joy.

In keeping with Rene’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. This obituary will serve as a place for family and friends to share their memories, stories, and condolences in honor of a life well lived. A future date may be chosen for a Celebration of Life with Family and Friends at Shirley Anne's discretion.

Rene will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rene’s memory to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be greatly appreciated.
