It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Raymond Robichaud, who died after a brief battle with cancer at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, May 6, at the age of 62. Born on July 5, 1962, he was the son of Georges Otto Robichaud and the late Emilia Rousselle. He was the beloved husband of Francine Duguay and resided in Ottawa, Ontario, but was originally from Neguac, New Brunswick.

Besides his beloved wife Francine, he is survived by his father Georges, his sister Lorraine, his brother Emilien, as well as several uncles, aunts, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was a distinguished electrical engineer and served as the CEO of Drawbridge Technologies Inc., where he made significant contributions to the field, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and community.

Raymond was not only dedicated to his professional life but was also deeply involved in his personal passions. He was a valued member and eventually the president of Les Marmitons, a cooking club, where he shared his love for cooking with others and fostered a sense of camaraderie among club members. His kitchen was often a gathering place for friends and family, where he would prepare exquisite meals, showcasing his passion for culinary arts.

Music was another significant aspect of Raymond's life; he played multiple instruments and found joy in sharing his musical talents with those around him. He appreciated the power of music to bring people together and often hosted gatherings infused with melodies and laughter.

Raymond had a profound love for travel, allowing him to experience diverse cultures and their local cuisines. His adventurous spirit led him to explore various landscapes, and he found solace in nature, valuing the tranquility and beauty it provided. His enthusiasm for construction was evident, as he enjoyed creating and building, always taking pride in his projects.

Raymond's legacy is one of warmth, creativity, and a profound connection to those he cherished. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His wife would like to thank Mr. Johnson Thomas and the other caregivers who visited him daily to ensure his comfort. Instead of flowers, donations can be made at Parkdale Food Kitchen.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 1st, 2025, from 1-5 pm at Raymond's house, in Ottawa ON.

C'est avec une immense tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de M. Raymond Robichaud, décédé d'une courte lutte contre le cancer dans sa résidence, entouré de l'amour de ses proches, le mardi 6 mai à l'âge de 62 ans. Né le 5 juillet 1962, à Neguac, au Nouveau Brunswick, il était le fils de Georges Otto Robichaud et de feu Emilia Rousselle. Il était l'époux bien-aimé de Francine Duguay et demeurait à Ottawa, en Ontario.

Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil son père Georges, sa sœur Lorraine, son frère Emilien, ainsi que plusieurs oncles, tantes, beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines.

Raymond était un ingénieur électrique distingué. PDG de Drawbridge Technologies Inc., il a apporté de nombreuses contributions dans son domaine, laissant un impact durable sur ses collègues et sa communauté.

En plus de sa vie professionnelle, Raymond était membre dévoué du club de cuisine « Les Marmitons » où il a agi à titre de président pendant quelques années. Il y a partagé son amour pour la cuisine avec les autres et favorisé un sentiment de camaraderie parmi les membres du club.

Sa cuisine était souvent un lieu de rassemblement pour les amis et la famille, où il préparait des repas exquis, mettant en valeur sa passion pour les arts culinaires. La musique était un autre aspect significatif de la vie de Raymond; il jouait de plusieurs instruments et trouvait de la joie à partager ses talents musicaux avec ceux qui l'entouraient. Il appréciait le pouvoir de la musique pour rassembler les gens et organisait souvent des rencontres remplies de mélodies et de rires.

Raymond avait un amour profond pour les voyages, ce qui lui a permis de découvrir des cultures diverses et leurs cuisines locales. Son esprit aventurier l'a conduit à explorer divers paysages, et il a trouvé du réconfort dans la nature, appréciant la tranquillité et la beauté qu'elle offrait.

Son enthousiasme pour la construction était évident, car il aimait créer et bâtir, toujours fier de ses projets. Chaleureux, créatif et généreux, Raymond manquera beaucoup à tous ceux qui ont eu le privilège de le côtoyer.

Son épouse tient à remercier M. Johnson Thomas et les autres soignants qui lui ont rendu visite quotidiennement pour veiller à son confort.
