Raymond Paul Lance

January 22, 1954 — August 5, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raymond Paul Lance, who left us peacefully on August 5, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on January 22, 1954, in Calumet Island. Raymond was a man of quiet strength, enduring kindness, and an uncanny sense of humor.

Raymond had a lifelong passion for playing the guitar, and his music brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Albert Lance and Madeleine Larue, by his brothers Dennis, Bernard, Donald, Yvan and his cherished niece Courtney. He is survived by his siblings Frank and Pauline (Greg), who will carry forward his memory with love.

He leaves behind his devoted lifelong partner, Joanne, who will miss him deeply and hold his memory close to her heart. Raymond was a proud and loving father to his sons: Jeremy (Lila), Jesse, Ryan (Cassie), James (Janice), Aaron (Kim), and Travis. He was also a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather to many, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Raymond also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember his warmth, humor, and the special moments shared over the years.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life as we honour Raymond on August 23rd from 3pm-6pm at the Manor Park Community Council at 1805 Gaspé Ave. Ottawa ON. K1K 0A4.

Raymond will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his love of music, and the deep bonds he formed with family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
