Philip Thomas Montford

It is with great sadness that the family of Philip Thomas Montford announces his peaceful passing at the Montfort Hospital, Thursday, June 20, 2024. He was born in Summerside, PEI on February 18, 1964. 

Philip is predeceased by his father, Gordon Montford. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Montford (McCue) and his daughter Emily Dubnyk (David) and 3 grandchildren; Jackson, Miles and Maya. He is also survived by his siblings Paula (Brian), Lorraine, David, and Danny as well as his nephews and nieces Colin, Catherine (Misha), Michael and Laurie. He is survived by his Uncle Roger and Aunt Roslyn McCue along with numerous cousins across the country. 

He was a graduate of Acadia University, with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology. He spent many years in Japan and South Korea teaching English. He often spoke of his students and the joy he received in teaching young minds. 

He was a loving son as well as a good and caring person who had a quick wit and a kind heart. He will be missed by the many friends he had as well the people he touched along the way. 

His Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024, 11 am, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Alberton, PEI.
