Pauline Marie Côté (née BRISSON)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Pauline Marie Côté (née Brisson), who departed this life on September 12, 2025, at the age of 97 at the Centre D’Accueil Roger Séguin in Clarence Creek, Ontario. Born on August 9, 1928, in Embrun, Ontario, Pauline touched the lives of many with her vibrant spirit and infectious joy.

Pauline is survived by her three cherished children, Denis, Lise, and Jean (Ginette). She was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren Marie-Ève, Justine, and Patrick, and a proud great-grandmother to her great-grandchildren Océanne, Malik, Jacob, Luke, Ashton, Olivia, Owen, Kaïa, and Koen. Pauline is survived by her sister Jeanne D’Arc and brothers George and Bernard. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will hold dear memories of her.

Pauline was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul-Émile, as well as her parents, Arthur Brisson and Cécilia Émard. She also mourns the loss of her sisters, Cécile and Noëlla, and her brother Solomon, who all played significant roles in her life.

Known for bringing fun to every gathering, Pauline had a zest for life that was evident in her love for entertaining. Her passions extended to sewing, cooking, and traveling, with a particular fondness for cruising. She was a remarkable craftsman, with skilled hands that rarely rested. Whether crafting custom garments, creating beautiful quilts, or indulging in knitting, tatting, and crocheting, her creations brought comfort and joy to family and friends alike. Pauline's culinary talents were equally celebrated, as her cooking was a constant source of warmth and happiness.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the compassionate staff at the Centre D’Accueil Roger Séguin, whose dedication made a significant difference during this challenging time.

A private family celebration of Pauline's life will be held at a later date to honor her memory, as we reflect on the remarkable life she led and the lasting impact she made on all who were fortunate to know her.

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de notre chère mère, Pauline Marie Côté (née Brisson), survenu le 12 septembre 2025, à l’âge de 97 ans, au Centre d’Accueil Roger Séguin de Clarence Creek, en Ontario. Née le 9 août 1928 à Embrun (Ontario), Pauline a marqué la vie de plusieurs par son esprit vif et sa joie contagieuse.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses trois enfants chéris, Denis, Lise et Jean (Ginette). Elle était une grand-maman dévouée pour ses petits-enfants Marie-Ève, Justine et Patrick, ainsi qu’une arrière-grand-maman fière et aimante pour Océanne, Malik, Jacob, Luke, Ashton, Olivia, Owen, Kaïa et Koen. Pauline laisse également dans le deuil sa sœur Jeanne D’Arc et ses frères George et Bernard, de même que plusieurs nièces et neveux qui garderont d’elle de précieux souvenirs.

Elle est allée rejoindre son époux bien-aimé Paul-Émile, ainsi que ses parents Arthur Brisson et Cécilia Émard. Elle fut précédée par ses sœurs Cécile et Noëlla ainsi que par son frère Solomon, tous ayant occupé une place importante dans sa vie.

Pauline était reconnue pour mettre de la joie dans chaque rassemblement. Sa passion pour la vie se reflétait dans son amour de recevoir. Elle adorait la couture, la cuisine et les voyages, avec une affection particulière pour les croisières. Véritable artisane aux mains habiles, elle a confectionné des vêtements sur mesure, de magnifiques courtepointes et a consacré beaucoup de temps au tricot, au frivolité et au crochet. Ses créations ont su réchauffer le cœur de ses proches. Ses talents culinaires étaient tout aussi appréciés, sa cuisine demeurant une source constante de bonheur et de réconfort.

La famille tient à exprimer sa plus sincère gratitude envers le personnel compatissant du Centre d’Accueil Roger Séguin, dont le dévouement a fait une réelle différence durant cette période difficile.

Une célébration privée de la vie de Pauline aura lieu ultérieurement en famille, afin d’honorer sa mémoire et de se remémorer la vie exceptionnelle qu’elle a menée ainsi que l’héritage qu’elle laisse à tous ceux qui ont eu la chance de la connaître.
