Paraskevi Toboulis

February 10, 1939 — April 20, 2024

It is with great sadness and an aching sense of loss that we announce the passing of Paraskevi (‘Vivi’, Vivian) Toboulis who passed away peacefully on April 20th, 2024.  She was born on February 10, 1939 in Kastoria, Greece and was the youngest (and a twin) and 4rth (by minutes) of 5 children to Damianos and Soumela Kazantzidou.

Her and her twin brother George, were the free spirts of the family. Her early years were spent living in Melbourne, Australia where she worked, thrived and made many lasting memories.  She later moved back home and then to Canada where she became a proud Canadian citizen who was thankful to be a part of a great Country.  She was known to her friends as ‘Vivi’ and the go to for getting hair done as she was a hair stylist before moving over to packaging at Dare Foods, a company that she was so grateful to be a part of.  She has been heavily involved in the Church for many years giving her time and dedication there.  Her liveliness, big energy and being known in the community for making the best spinach and cheese pita, ‘ever’, will be her legacy that she leaves behind.

Beloved ‘mommy’ to her only daughter Effie, beloved ‘mommy in law’ to her ‘Sammy Sam’ and adored YiaYia to her only grandchild her, ‘Moro’ Tyler.  Her family was her biggest passion and ‘her boys’ could do no wrong as she had endless smiles and love for them.
In her final hours, with very weakened strength, her ‘Sammy Sam’ would sing to her where she could feel his presence by grabbing his hand as a sign of comfort and calm. May you find peace and happiness with your reunion with your mom, dad, sisters Kaliope, Georgia and brothers Nikos and George along with your friends in Heaven.

Mommy, you will be greatly missed and always remembered.  We take solace in knowing that you will be looking after us from above and will be able to watch your precious Tyler grow.
