It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Om Prakash Aggarwal on August 27 2026 at the age of 92. He was born in Haryana, India.
He was married to the late Dayawati Aggarwal for 64 years. He is survived by his four children and spouses, Ravi & Ita, Vijay & Sapna, Vinay & Kirtaniya and Madhu & Sesha: his five grandchildren Asha, Braja, Anil, Pranaya and Megha: his six great grandchildren whom he adored.
Om Prakash completed his university education in New Delhi and joined the Indian Diplomatic Services where he was posted to many countries throughout his life. Some of the countries that had a major impact on him and his family included Washington DC where his three younger children were born, Lusaka Zambia where all four children went to primary school, Dublin Ireland where the family was reunited with the older children. He was also posted to Italy, Iran, Libya, Denmark and Qatar.
Om Prakash moved to Canada in 2007 after retiring from a long successful career as a diplomat. He dedicated his life to his work and family. After retirement he immersed himself in helping others by volunteering at a school for the blind in New Delhi, the Salvation Army in Mississauga and a Hindu Temple.
Omprakash was a very happy, positive and determined man who brought positivity to any person that came in contact with him.
We look forward to seeing friends and family at his Antim Sanskar (Final Rites) ceremony at 10 AM on Thursday September 3, 2027 held at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium at 737 Dundas St, East, Mississauga.
