Nobuko Fujimoto, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away at her home in Mississauga on the evening of July 31st, surrounded by her loved ones. Following an unexpected diagnosis of stage 4 cancer, she fought bravely for two weeks until the very end. She was very blessed to live until the age of 93.
Nobuko will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Jackie and Kristine Fujimoto; her sons-in-law, Arturo Guerrero and Ken Osugi; and her four grandchildren, Alex Guerrero, Erika Guerrero, Ryan Osugi, and Madison Osugi. We find peace and comfort knowing that she is now reunited with her late husband, Tadashi Fujimoto.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Toshiko Nohara, Hiroko Lopus, and Yasunori Hiratsuka. She is survived by her brothers, Hisahiro and Takayuki Hiratsuka.
Nobuko was born in Tokyo, Japan, bringing her heritage and traditions with her when she came to Canada in 1966. She was a genuine and pure soul who loved life. More than anything, she loved her family unconditionally, always putting them before herself. She was never too busy to lend an ear, offer comfort, or simply be there for the people she loved.
Nobuko found great joy in singing. She took pride in her voice and made sure everyone knew it. Her warmth, kindness, and beautiful spirit touched the lives of everyone around her, and she will be dearly missed.
At Nobuko’s request, she wished to be cremated and no service will be held. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
