Nick Tassos

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Nick Tassos, 86 years old, on June 4th, 2024. Up until the moment of his passing, Nick was surrounded by family and loved ones who cherished him very dearly.

Nick was born in Patras, Greece, on Feburary 5th, 1938. Nick came to Canada at 18 years old, an immigrant all by himself, where he met his wife Vasiliki Tassos, and built a wonderful life and legacy which stands strong today. Nick leaves behind his beloved wife Vasiliki Tassos, his children Grigorios Tassos and Ritsa Velianou, and his 2 grand-children, Nickolaos Tassos and Sophie Velianou.

Throughout his life, Nick always helped fellow relatives, close and distant, with whatever they needed. He was selfless, kind-hearted, and one of the last few good men left. Even though he was tough at times, everyone loved him for his kind and soft heart. Whenever anyone had a problem or worries, they always knew they could run to and rely on Nick.

He spent a happy 66 years with his wife, and worked extremely hard. Despite that, he always found time to help his family and shower them with love. He was a dependable man, and a good man. He will be sorely missed, and even though his loss weighs heavy on our hearts, Nick would want us to keep moving forward with love and courage.
