It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Groves on May 29, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born in Barrie, Ontario, on November 24, 1954, Nancy was a strong-willed woman and a true fighter throughout her life. She was known for her determination, resilience, and the love she shared with those around her. In her early years, Nancy worked as a school car driver, a role she took pride in while serving her community.

Nancy found joy in the simple things that brought beauty into her life, especially diamond painting and butterflies, which reflected her creative spirit and appreciation for life’s special moments. She also cherished her role as a dog aunt to Luna, who held a very special place in her heart and whom she absolutely adored.

Nancy was predeceased by her mother, Lorraine, and her father, Wesley. She leaves behind her loving sister, Susan (Greg); her nephews, Ricky (Holly) and Terry (Jenna); her cherished great-niece and great-nephew, Averie and Mason. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Nancy’s strength, love, and memory will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends when available.
