Myrtle Lorraine Lazzara, nee Waumsley

May 8, 1930 - May 24, 2025

The family of Myrtle Lazzara is saddened to announce her passing on Saturday, May 24, 2025, sixteen days after her 95th birthday. She now is reunited with all her friends and loved ones who have gone before her. husband - Joe Lazzara, parents - Ab (Albert) and Winnie (Winnifred) Waumsley, brother and sister-in-law -Jack and Wilma Waumsley, best friends - Verna, Charlotte, Jackie, Betty and so many others.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Sandy Greer, her son, Frank Lazzara; Grandchildren -Kathy Greer, Sharon & Rheal Gobeil, Noeleen & Trevor Wilcox, Jesse & Sarah Larose, Brandon; Great-grandchildren - Brody, Nicholas, Bryanna, Rylan, Payton, Avery, Eliya, Gabriel, Jaxton and Aiva; Great great-grandchildren - Abby, Mya, Scarlett and Carol Ann.

Myrtle's main concern in this life was family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity and compassion. She will be remembered for her laughter and kindness to all she met throughout her life. She served as President of the Hi Lites Seniors Club at St Michael's Church for many years and was a long time member of the Thursday afternoon Sherwood Lanes bowling club.

In lieu of flowers donations to the War Amps, Covenant House or Neighbour 2 Neighbour would be greatly appreciated as these were her favourite charities. We invite all her friends to a celebration of life for Myrtle on June 22nd, at St. Michael's Anglican Parish Hall, 1188 Fennell Ave. East, Hamilton, ON L8T 1S6. Service starts at 2pm with visitation following.
