Micheal Elmer Shay

Michael Elmer Shay peacefully passed away with close friends and family by his side on Thursday April 13, 2023, at the age of 66 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Angel and Michael Jr.; grandchildren, Jonathan and Kalie; predeceased by his loving parents, Norma and Elmer Shay; Sister, Carol Omstead and Brother, Paul Shay.

Mike was a father, friend, mechanic, and the life of the party. He always had a kind word and smile to share with those he met along his travels. Never one to say no, Mike was always willing to help others. “Cheers Mikie!” You will be sorely missed by your family, your friends, and the Manotick Community.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Capital Memorial Gardens, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Ottawa General Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. In honour and remembrance of “Mikie” donations can be made to The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
