Michael Oliver

We are heartbroken to share that Michael Oliver passed away on Sept 6, 2025. He fought a heroic battle against a rare disease and passed peacefully, surrounded by his family at Mississauga Hospital. Mike had a beautiful life, lived in service to his family, his work teams and his beloved Steelers and Leafs. He was born and raised in Scarborough, the loved middle son of Carole and John, brother of Jason & Andrew. He then became the supportive & cherished husband to Kerry for 25 years and the most dedicated dad to Mackenzie & Kylie (and to his cats). Mike had a 35+ year career in building automation, spending the last 7 years in public service to his city, where he was admired for his problem solving & people first approach. He will be missed by his whole family and his many friends and work colleagues. His quiet impact as a hockey coach and work leader will not soon be forgotten. Mike was a kind and calm presence with a brightness and humour he brought to everyone and to everything he touched. The kindness and strength he shared will forever be remembered by the people he loved most and his legacy as a warrior will be lived through by his family, friends, and all those he touched.
