It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mike, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital in his 61st year. Beloved husband and best friend of Lori. Cherished father of Sean (Sarah) and Jennifer (Dave). Devoted Grampa of Devyon. Much loved son of Bernice and the late Andrew Burns. Beloved son-in-law of Ida and the late Gordon Malcolm. Loving brother of Neil (Debbie) and Kevin (Sharon). Mike will be dearly missed by all of his remaining family and friends too numerous to mention, especially those in the music industry. A special thanks to everyone at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion that he received during his final days. As per Mike's request there will be no funeral service. A music tribute to Mike will follow at a later date. Details to follow at that time. Memorial donations may be made to the Trillium Gift of Life Network or a charity of your choice.
