Michael Anthony Burleigh

Michael Anthony Burleigh will be deeply missed and dearly remembered by his loving wife Janet (nee Diggins) Burleigh, his children, Nora Jones (Michael), Andrew Burleigh (Alicia), Anna Burleigh (Alex), Caly Burleigh (Karl), Mark Lehtovaara (Casey), Ben Lehtovaara (Janice), Stepbrother David Burleigh and his sister Carol McDonald (Tim). Memories of his hugs and love will be carried by his eight grandchildren. Michael is predeceased by his parents Clarence and Helen Burleigh.

Michael was a compassionate, and gentle soul who shared abounding love for his family and friends. He always made time to listen to people and share words of care and grace. Michael worked with integrity and humility, both at work and home, and was guided by his faith. Michael loved and served the Lord in everything he did and touched the lives of many as he shared the love and grace of Jesus with compassionate actions. Michael will be remembered for his generous, healing hugs, given freely, and with his whole heart.

All who knew Michael are devastated by the tremendous loss caused by his sudden passing. Michael’s heart was always fixed on serving and loving others and our hearts are broken as he is now absent from us. We will carry his presence and light with us into the days ahead.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date, to be determined by the family.
