It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of M.Y. Dharmawijaya (Merennage Yeman Dharmawijaya), beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who peacefully passed away at the age of 83 on March 3rd, 2025, at his residence at 1197 West Shore Drive, Mississauga. His death was a result of old age-related causes.

M.Y. Dharmawijaya was born on August 3rd, 1941, and lived a life marked by kindness, wisdom, and a deep sense of integrity. He leaves behind his loving wife, Chandrani Perera, his daughters Asha and Pubudini, his sons-in-law Mano and Prasanna, and his cherished grandchildren Lakmini, Mithsee, Poshi, and Prisha. His presence, both warm and steadfast, will be missed by his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

M.Y. Dharmawijaya's life was characterized by devotion to his family, an enduring commitment to his community, and an unwavering spirit of generosity. He will always be remembered for the joy he brought to the lives of those around him and the love he gave so freely.

A private funeral service will be held in his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in his honor.
