Maurice Hurtubise "Moe", 91, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, surrounded by the family he adored.

Born to Ernest Hurtubise and Yvonne Gagné on June 26, 1935.

Married to the love of his life, Marguerite Hurtubise (née Demers), on October 3, 1959, he leaves behind two daughters, Danielle Hurtubise and Sylvie Payeur (Marc Payeur). He was predeceased by his sister, Rita Boyer (née Hurtubise), and his brother, Jean Hurtubise.

Grandchildren: Nick LaRocque (Isabelle Landry), Josie LaRocque, Natalie Brazeau (Doum Lefebvre), Manon Clermont (Philippe Clermont), Mélissa Payeur, Félix Payeur (Julia Payeur), and Jérémie Payeur.

Great-grandchildren: Tiarnan, Mila, Samuel, Cédric, Lexie, Caleb, and Lily.

His happiest days were spent outdoors, downhill skiing and summer sailing, or riding his 10-speed bicycle. Otherwise, he could be found reading a novel.

His true love was his wife, to whom he was devoted - a gentleman always. A dedicated father and grandfather, he was only a phone call away and would drop anything, at any time, to be at their side.
