Pottie, Marjorie (nee Quinn) We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Marjorie Pottie on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the age of 71. Marjorie passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie.  Beloved wife of John for almost 50 years. Loving mum of Caroline, John (Liz Valdivia), and Jennifer (fiance Darryl).  Cherished Nana to Dennis, Justin, Eliana and Alissa. Dear sister of the late Kathleen (the late Bill Halliday), Pat (the late Jim Anderson), and Tommy (Clarice Conley). Sadly missed by her sister-in-law Brenda Short, her cousin Catherine Blandford, her many nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Predeceased by her parents Tommy and Ella Quinn. Marjorie will be remembered for her overwhelming kindness, her generosity and her unwavering devotion to her family and dear friends. She will never leave our hearts. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Marjorie’s life at Jennett Funeral & Cremation Centre, 152 Bradford St in Barrie on Saturday, May 19th from 9:00-10:00a.m. Inurnment of cremated remains will follow at Barrie Union Cemetery, 338 Sunnidale Rd, Barrie. If desired, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation,  found at Memorial Giving , would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital for the kindness and care they showed Marjorie.
