Marjorie Louisa Parker

Marjorie Louisa Parker passed away quietly at the age of 90, on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at AgeCare Westbury Long-Term Care Residence in Etobicoke, Ontario. She was born on June 13, 1933, daughter of Edith and John Branton on their family farm outside of Woodstock, ON.

She lived a majority of her adult life in Toronto where she worked and raised her family of two children. She enjoyed travelling, bowling, playing cards, spending time with family and friends and was an active member at the Manor Road United Church. She was a Toronto Blue Jays fan, loved tending to her flower garden and feeding the birds in her backyard.

She was preceded in death by her children, Irene and Edward Koziol, two loving husbands, Leszek Koziol and Geoffrey Parker, brother Lorne Branton, great grandson William and parents. She is survived by her two grandchildren Christopher (Laura) and Rosalie Sawrie (Jenn), great grandsons, Benjamin and Daniel and nieces and nephews.

Her family and friends will remember her for her kindness, generosity, incredible strength in times of adversity and fierce independence.

Following 9 years of heart-breaking mental and physical decline due to dementia, she is finally at peace, greeted by Geoff on the same date he passed 27 years earlier.  A private gathering will take place at Park Lawn Cemetery followed by a lunch at her favourite restaurant, Swiss Chalet.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
