It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marion May West, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away at the age 69 on April17, 2024, at her home in Mississauga, Ontario. Her positive and vibrant energy, and her love and passion for life will be missed. Marion is survived by her loving daughters Carrie and Robyn, who were by her side during her final moments.

Maryanne was born in Toronto, Ontario on May 24th, 1954. She worked her career as a speech and language secretary with the peel district school board which brought her great fulfillment. Being a mom, was fun for her, but being a grandma and great grandma was even more fun for her.

She had a big place in her heart for her animals Cassie, Lucy,and Charlie, and shared the same love of attending church as well.

Her grandchildren Brandy, Carley, Landon, Carrington, Abby, and Adam never felt like

their grandma lived her life on the sidelines. She hiked, fished, baked, cooked, sang, attended their sports games and school concerts and loved every moment of it. It wasn't just her grandchildren, her great grandchildren Maziah, Skye, Nathan, Alex and Autumn couldn't help but steal her love and attention. Her family was her pride and joy.

Her family meant the world to her, but so did her friends and community. She was always going away for day trips or weekend getaways with her adventure buddy and best friend Gale, going out for walks and to restaurants with friends and making sure to call those she hadn't spoke to every few weeks. Her house was always stocked with baking supplies so that she could make a baked good for someone's birthday, retirement or special day - she always remembered when it was.

She had the energy of a youth, she was loved by all she will be greatly missed beyond words.

A celebration of life will take place on Sunday July, 14, 2024 at 2:00 pm
