Mario Garol Balagtas

Mario Balagtas, fondly known as Daddeeyo to his family, passed away on Father's Day (June 16, 2024). Mario was born in Borongan, Eastern Samar, Philippines to Alberto Balagtas and Florentina Balagtas. He was a loving brother, husband, father, and friend. Mario worked as an electrical engineer for 40 years and whenever asked how work is, he always replied "it's my playground and I love it". He is survived by his family Annabelle Balagtas, Anna Balagtas and Breanna Balagtas who will carry on the legacy of his name. 

We will be celebrating our Daddeeyo's life on Sunday, June 23rd from 2:00 - 4:00PM ET at St. John's Dixie Cemetery and Crematorium in Mississauga, Ontario. We ask that those who knew him to please bring their fondest memories and stories of Mario so they may be recorded for the family.
