Marilyn Vanderwal

Marilyn Vanderwal passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026, at Springdale Country Manor. She was the daughter of Freida White and John Quinlan, and the sister of the late Barbara Quinlan. She was predeceased by her husbands, Kenneth Russell Myers and Leo Vanderwal.

Marilyn was a fun-loving person with a wonderful sense of humour who brought laughter and warmth to those around her. She loved her family deeply and was generous and giving to both family and strangers alike. Marilyn had a heart that never seemed to know the word “no”—if someone needed something, she was always willing to help. Her kindness, generosity, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her children: Rhonda Myers (David Johnston), Russell Myers (Rosemary Myers), Robert Myers, Kenton Myers (Lianne Myers), and Teressa Myers (Kevin Sullivan).

She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Kevin Myers, Brad Myers (Lindsey Myers), Britney Myers (Danny Brahniuk), Shandell Curry (Nathan Curry), Hannah Myers, Dylan Myers, and Madison Myers.

Marilyn’s great-grandchildren include Myla Myers, the late Colson Myers, Charlie Myers, Russell Myers, Faerah Brahniuk, Maisie Brahniuk, Annabelle Curry, and Ellie Curry.

Marilyn will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew her.
